Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Kai's VR Oasis Experience about?
Welcome to our oasis of virtual reality! Escape into a 3-D, 360-degree room-scale space where you can experience everything from art museums, sports, virtual travel, fun musical activities, shoot zombies or try a virtual escape room. Virtual Reality on a room scale is unlike anything you have experienced.

What is Virtual Reality?
The technical description: The computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment.

I'm not into games, is Virtual Reality for me?
VR is not necessarily about gaming -- We have many selections that are purely experiential, with a range of experiences for all tastes.

Can I wear glasses?
VR headsets fit comfortably over most eyeglasses and can be adjusted to offer a better fit. However, individuals with large-framed eyewear may experience difficulty or discomfort when wearing the headset over their glasses. If your prescription is less than -3.00, you will most likely not require your glasses while using the headset. If your prescription is greater than -3.00 and your glasses are bulky, we recommend wearing contacts if possible when using VR equipment.

Will I experience motion sickness or disorientation?
Not likely, however each person may react differently to VR, so if you are someone who is easily affected by motion sickness, please let us know and we will recommend an experience that is less likely to cause any problems.

Are there any physical limitations that would prevent me from participating?
Visual or cognitive impairments, limited motor skills. In addition, pregnant women, people with vertigo, motion sickness, heart problems or are prone to seizures are directed to proceed with caution. Do not use VR if you are sick, fatigued or are under the influence of intoxicants.
Participants should be at least 120cm in height, 8 years of age or older and be able to read the in-headset instructions.
